Fast paced - you will never be bored,or more grateful to have a ten minute break Training - my supervisor got in and showed me exactly what to do, hands on learning Food/perks - they give you food sometimes and the people I worked with were quiet nice

Work conditions - I worked seasonal for a couple weeks before deciding this wasn't for me. Terribly cold, no working heat (working fast is how you stay warm) Safety drilled to insane levels - how to pick up a box, when to team lift (though you won't ever get any help, it's everyone for themselves) Scanners - you scan every package you load, the scanners rarely work and slow you down, nor do they stay wrapped around your finger so you can expect to throw them (with a package) up in a trailer Overwhelming - packages don't stop coming down the belt ever, so that wall that you're trying to build to lock packages in is be pushed and destroyed by whoever is grabbing packages for you on the belt and rolling them in your trailer Irregular schedule - never consistent, always changing, difficult to balance with college No way to move up - people that had been there for 6 years were only sorting packages instead of loading. SIX years! The drivers get all the love but by the time you put in enough work to be a driver, it'll be time to retire Physically taxing - I figured going to the gym every day would have me somewhat prepared. I was wrong. If you decide to work here get a pair of super thin and grippy gloves to hold your scanner. Wear a hoodie, keep your scanner in your jacket pocket. Don't try to be a hero. Work slow, they packages aren't going anywhere, it's not worth it.
