Great work environment. Fun office. Best co-workers. Inspiring CEO. Last year has been filled with positive change and think the year ahead is going to be very inspiring and fulfilling for everyone.

Minpunten

Depends who's in control of music in the office.

Pluspunten

I really enjoy working at UrbanDaddy. The people are fantastic and work so incredibly hard. Everything here is a team effort - you never feel like you are alone in anything you do. I also really enjoy the type of work that we are doing. We exude the UrbanDaddy lifestyle and bring that feeling into the office.

Minpunten

Any place you ever work will have pros and cons. I'd say the con here is time management and slow response time. Oftentimes the higher ups have a lot on their plate and try to take on too many micro tasks which slows down processes. However, I feel fortunate to work in a place where I feel comfortable bringing this up and asking for change.

Pluspunten

If you're an editorial professional who enjoys writing quirky-fun reviews for party locations and trendy tchotchkes you'll probably enjoy working here.

Minpunten

If you are technology professional you will want to steer clear from this company. The laissez faire attitude of the technology leadership lends no innovation to the department. The main part of the business throws only a handful of meaningless projects to developers while the main load of the work is farmed out to external development houses. This may or may not be due to senior project managers' refusal to write any form of specifications to provide the internal developers with clear directions of their vision. It seems they feel it's easier to deal with external companies than its own IT department. When you do get work as a developer you're forced into a very aggressive timeline for projects while you play mind reader to guess what the actual needs of the business are. You'll spend a week developing something only to find out the company won't go forward with the project or they'll ask you to completely redo it; and then redo it again a day before the product goes live. If you do happen to land a job here learn as much as you can because you'll probably have plenty of free time before you move to the next company.
