This Employer will suck the living life out of you and leave you hanging on for dear life. Working for Wawanesa has been the worst decision of my entire life. Cons: Favoritism is embedded in the core of Wawanesa. Its runs deep, deep. Nepotism is allowed, Division Supervisor dating claims agent, then that same claims agents get promoted to a supervisor. Supervisor’s that mingle, drink, hang out etc. with regular agents is a tradition at Wawanesa. Think you’re moving up in the company, forget it!! Wawanesa loves and prioritizes external hires, especially former Geico employees. HR is completely ignorant and lack basic knowledge of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Need to take a leave for health reasons, personal reasons, oh that’s out of the question. Wawanesa makes FMLA and ADA leaves excruciatingly difficult and borderline illegal. I’m sure they make it this way to deter you from taking any type of leave. Wawanesa is a company that refuses to make good decisions under any circumstance. Wawanesa is currently being sued, rightfuly, by a former employee. I’m certain more lawsuits are coming. Under no circumstances would I ever, ever recommend this employer, not even to my worst enemy.
