Pluspunten
Super sick discount! Cost + $1 on anything you buy. Except items with pricing ending in .97 because "they're already so damn 'discounted' that includes you!" Flexible hours. Although, for many, that is if you get any. You may get scheduled 3 hours one week, 12 the next and then none for two weeks and then 6. Who's to tell? Part time work is a gamble at this place. You can find coworkers (although you may never "meet" them) who give a damn despite the lack of guiding, company principles. Good, honest people who realize that wine.com is a retail enterprise where the customer should always come first.
Minpunten
The Covid pandemic was the best thing that ever happened to this company. Business quintupled. QUINTUPLED! The world shut down and many started drinking more and no one wanted to leave their houses and restaurants/bars were closed and in some states no liquor stores were open (We saw you Pennsylvania!). Ship wine to everyone! Everyone started working overtime. Full-time, part-time, salaried and hourly. Everyone was busting their hump. This pandemic was a nightmare but business was en fuego. Pumped up by the pandemic, the C-Suite aka the MICs (Morons In Charge) said "you ain't seen nothing yet! We're gonna GROW GROW GROW!!! Let's buy some warehouses and stop breaking the law in Ohio! And big bonuses for everyone!" The pandemic waned and then ended. Only a moron couldn't see that every American was yearning to return to their pre-pandemic life. And nothing they said would happen, did. So, since the spring they've laid off more than a third of their workforce with the latest massacre being on Weds July 27 with 70 people starting the day with a job and ending it without one. "Poof. You no longer work here. Sorry that you worked here for 12 years. Instead of paying you 24 weeks of severance like we should, we're giving you 2. Kinda like 24 but without that pesky 4 making it just 2. I'm not going to tell you that you'll be booted from all of our systems within the next 30 minutes nor afford you the opportunity to say farewell to anyone. But, any questions? I know you've been gut punched, head butted and, of course, sucker punched. But, again, any questions?" They put in an inventory management system that makes customer service a nightmare. No, we can't modify your order, silly, you made it more than 20 minutes ago. You'll need to cancel and start all over and when you do your promo code won't work! Why? Because our systems are designed to be anti-customer! Had you been here prior to us getting too big for our britches, we could merge your orders, get them all sent to the same place at the same time. But, at the end of the day, you're a customer which other than a part-time employee is the lowest form of life.
