It all changed under the current CEO Eschenbach, where all that was important was performance. The culture became somewhat toxic as local leaders did not fully understand what this new performance culture was and how it should be implemented. So it became a strategy for re-orgs again and again with many individuals exiting the business over and over. This had a terrible impact on the culture and many workmates felt they were being picked on as a way to reduce headcount. I was privy to many leader conversations that made me feel very uncomfortable at times. Many of the internal programmes were also being cut in a very unapologetic way. To describe the is company in a single word, I would choose 'nasty'.
