My team gets to use a lot of the latest tech e.g., latest versions of frameworks, Kubernetes deployments etc. Everyone is very friendly. They emphasise having fun at work via team lunches, office events, clubs etc (my office has a board games club, video games club, Lego club and a music club that I know of, and all clubs get funding from head office for each registered member). The office is well setup and common areas are great...lots of free snacks and drinks.

The code could be better. It's not bad, in fact it's quite good, just not as good as other places I've worked at. You are a cog is a big wheel, so you don't get a chance to do much outside software development e.g. I don't get to work on CI/CD pipelines much. Agile practice seems very rigid instead of allowing each team to use what they think is best. You are expected to be in the office for 50% of days. You cannot choose to work remotely most of the time unless you were specifically employed as a remote worker.
