Pluspunten
One of the biggest pros of working at Yext was the flexibility and trust given to employees. The company fostered an environment that valued autonomy, encouraging people to take initiative, explore new ideas, and think creatively without being micromanaged. This culture allowed for collaboration and innovation, making it a great place for individuals who thrive in self-directed, dynamic environments, while also contributing to larger projects across teams and cross-functional partners. Truly enjoyed working with my team, and was often encouraged to put new ideas forth, and supported in execution.
Minpunten
A major downside was the instability within the organization. I worked at Yext for only eight months before being impacted by layoffs, which were attributed vaguely to a reevaluation of company priorities. Multiple people across the marketing department were affected, and it became apparent that the company was struggling to establish a clear direction. This occurred not long after discussions about potentially taking the company private again surfaced. Given these circumstances, I would not recommend Yext for those seeking long-term job security. Also, they only offer two weeks severance for every year you're employed with them, which is appalling in this economical climate.
