Pluspunten

Fellow employees were delightful people Good atmosphere when the CEO isn't around

Minpunten

The CEO, Richard Keith Latman, does not have the faintest idea of how to effectively manage employees. Most work is assigned directly by Keith himself. This can and does go wrong in a variety of ways: Sometimes, Keith will give a vague description of the project he wants done. If you ask for more details, he will tell you to "figure it out" or "just get it done." After you've worked on this project for a few days or weeks, and sent several progress updates to Keith, he will tell you that everything you've done is wrong. It's time to start over, and you'd better work twice as fast. Other times, Keith will be very specific about what he wants. It doesn't matter that his solution goes against all standard conventions. It doesn't matter that there is a better solution that would be quicker and easier to implement. Keith could do your job better than you in half the time, so he's not going to listen to your advice. Don't forget the mandatory design changes once you've completed 80% of the project. How do you feel about violating open-source software license agreements? Keith sure doesn't seem to care, and will specifically tell you to avoid wasting any time trying to adhere to them. What about benefits? How does guaranteed yearly salary increase, unlimited PTO, a 6% 401k match, and a fully stocked break room sound? If you said, "too good to be true," you were right. All of these benefits were removed shortly after I was hired. In addition to all of this, Keith has no problem laying off employees with absolutely zero notice and almost no severance pay. So, if you're planning on working for iMagicLab, be sure to keep your resume updated. You might need to find a new job very soon. Also, don't trust all the 4 and 5 star reviews. Keith makes his employees write them.

Pluspunten

I worked at iMagicLab (CRMSuite) for 3 years, and I'm super grateful for my time there. I started out in an entry level job and within a year was able to move into management and then to sales. The growth potential for individuals at this company is unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Literally the only thing that limits how high you can climb is your performance. The product is exceptional and the team all believes in it. If you stand out in your work, you'll be rewarded for it. It's a demanding job (always have to be available for clients), but if you know that going in and set your expectations appropriately you'll be fine. Most of the negativity on this board comes from folks who just aren't a good fit for the company (despite being established, things often feel like a startup; some people hate that while others thrive in that environment).

Minpunten

There is truth to the comments some folks have made about change happening often and having a fair amount of turnover. But everyone there knows what kind of company they are a part of. The instability in structure is what allows for flexibility in growth. You can't really have one without the other. Don't come here if you aren't willing to hustle and open to wearing multiple hats. Also, much of the expertise that you gain here is limited to a pretty specific career niche, so consider where you'd like to be long term before committing.

Pluspunten

The pros are definitely worth to recognize, but they are limited. -Very nice break room, they do have free snacks for employees to grab at any time of the day. -The position I had was somewhat flexible, however I was a part-time employee. Not full-time. -Office is very nice, makes it feel like an adequate work environment- -They had a couple team-building exercises while I was there

Minpunten

-You can definitely find a much better job where you can interact more with others, unless you like being a loner. -The job seems repetitive, nothing really changed for the couple of months I was there. Became boring and I decided I did not want to do it anymore. -If you are looking to work more than 10-15 hours a week? Then forget about it. Shifts are only 4-5 hours a day and for this job, it might be all you want anyway. -The higher-ups seem arrogant, like they know everything and run the world.. but no, no.. calm down. Luckily I cannot single people out on this website without it being taken down. -Barely met the CEO, but did not get much of a good vibe from him. Seemed like a cool person, I guess.. But then I searched his name on google and it wasn't good news. -I only speak for part-time and in my position, we seemed to be in the dark most of the time. Very alienated from what was going on. Felt in the dark and in the corner.
