Pluspunten
As you can see from other comments, you can find nice colleagues here, but don’t expect to have a good superior. The local HR was helpful and always tried her best to secure benefits for the local employee team, even though the benefits were often different from the China team.
Minpunten
However, the HQ HR was unprofessional and would share private meeting details with other employees, which is not something HR should do, as it does not follow proper P&C practices. Your experience really depends on your superior. If you end up with a China based superior, you will understand what makes the job difficult. They tend to follow unreliable comments and unclear information, and still expect you to act on them without proper data. Most importantly, they often act as yes men, blindly following the founder's questionable advice and opinions. You should not expect them to protect you, they will push responsibility onto you and question why your work does not align with what the founder wants, even when the expectations are unreasonable. There were also concerns raised by some female employees regarding professionalism and workplace boundaries in interactions with the big boss. In certain situations, staff reportedly felt uncomfortable with requests related to appearance, attire, or content creation that they considered inappropriate for a professional work environment.
