Initial Interview was by a HR representative on the phone. Many questions were asked about prior work experience and interaction with the education industry. Training, teaching and reporting was mentioned. Then, the Regional technology manager asked specific IT related questions including TCP/IP. data backup, active directory, Ghost imaging, anti-virus, email and Microsoft Office.

The technical questions were run of the mill: Most system administrators familiar with Windows server 2008 and basic email experience would have no problems answering.
Unexpected questions included strategies, integration of technology in the learning environment, dealing with school administrators, priorities, student information systems, and the politics of a school board.
