I was contacted by an off shore recruiter with whom I scheduled a phone screen. The offshore recruiter didn't show up to the phone screen. The recruiter apologized, then scheduled another call. We went through the usual items that are part of any recruiter phone screen (salary expecation, work status, etc). I was then scheduled for a call with the hiring manager (a director). I spoke to the hiring manager for approximatley an hour. We discussed my resume, backgroup, experience, etc. The hiring manager then scheduled me for another call to extend our conversation. I was then scheduled for a panel interview (managers, directors, and a VP) and given 1 week to prepare a presentation. On the day of the panel interivew, I did my presentaiton then spent the next 4 hours interviewing with the members of the pane. Approximately 6 days after the panel interview, the hiring manager scheduled me for a call and stated that the company was going to pull the job posting, re-write it, re-post it, then open it up to other applicants. All in all the candidate experience was poor. I feel like I wasted alot of my time with a disorganized group of people who didn't really know what they wanted in a candidate. My recommendation to NI is to figure out what you really want before posting jobs.
