The process started with a phone call between me and the recruiter, in order to get in touch and get informed, how the further process works. This was more than helpful for me to understand, how long everything will take and what I will have to expect. From the very beginning everything was welcoming and I always had the feeling that the recruiter was really interested in me as a person. After this first step, there was a skype interview with a recruiter and the head of IT. The interview was intended as a first talk about the tasks I did, which technologies NI uses and why I wanted to move to Berlin to work for Native Instruments. Again the experience was more than positive and I always had the feeling of my opposites to be really interested in me as a person and my skills. Even when I told I didn't have some of the skills, which were demanded for the position, the feedback wasn't negative but positive: "So there is some new interesting tasks you could work into". After that skype interview I got invited to the Berlin office, where I could meet the head of IT and the team I would work for and was shown around the office. We talked more in depth about my skills and how things work at NI and what technologies I used in the past and what NI uses to run their business. A week passed after that interview and sad-fully I didn't get a offer at first - however I was told that they still find my profile interesting and would like to keep me in their talent pool and consider to contact me some time in future. It didn't take longer than 2 months I was contacted again and offered the possibility to talk to potential future colleagues to discuss my skill set. Again it was a very pleasant interview and the other system administrators I talked to were sympathetic from the beginning of our talk. Finally it worked and I got a offer. To sum it up I can say that I didn't find such a good working HR ever before and I really felt good all throughout the process.
