I applied for the SKF recruitment through our campus placement drive, and after an initial shortlisting based on CGPA and relevant mechanical engineering coursework, I was invited for the first round. The process began with a 60-minute online test that covered technical questions from SOM, Thermal, Manufacturing, and basic bearing fundamentals, along with sections on aptitude and logical reasoning. The technical part had mostly concept-based MCQs, while aptitude involved speed–distance–time, data interpretation, and numerical reasoning. After the test, around a dozen candidates were shortlisted for the interviews. The next stage consisted of a technical interview where the panel focused on my understanding of bearings, materials, machining processes, and some simple hand calculations from my projects. They also asked about my internship experience, what challenges I faced, and how I solved them. Following this, the HR interview was more conversational, covering my motivation to join SKF, how I work in a team, my strengths, areas for improvement, and my long-term career goals. The overall experience was smooth and professional, with the interviewers being friendly but deeply focused on fundamentals.

There was an assessment in which i got selected for the next GD round. The topic was about the effect of online stores in 10 years. I didn't get selected. They made many batches for GD and had 9-10 students in one.
