We’re excited to highlight the Akamai SkillBridge program. SkillBridge is a Department of Defense-run program that helps service members gain civilian work experience in their last 180 days of service. Today, we’re featuring Melissa Holtzlander, a former U.S. Air Force member who joined Akamai through SkillBridge. After completing her apprenticeship, she became a full-time Technical Project Management Associate. Hear her story: “After serving in the Air Force for more than 20 years, I was nervous about 'life after.' Having the valuable opportunity to intern at Akamai for 4 months gave me the comfort and confidence I needed to start a whole new career. It's an extremely inclusive environment and veteran-friendly.
