Empowering rural health physicians with value-based care strategies is key to improving health care access and patient outcomes in under-resourced areas. Over a quarter of all Aledade practices operate at least one location in a rural community, serving around 70 million rural Americans. Explore the Aledade Policy Institute's latest insights on health care policy and discover how value-based care can transform rural health.
We don't own independent primary care organizations - we partner with them. Aledade supports revenue stability, helps to relieve physician burnout through integrated technology and expert support and assures practices maintain true independence.
Last week, Aledade's Strategic Payer Partnerships team gathered at HQ for a productive retreat. They focused on creating sustainable and equitable value-based care health plan contracts that best benefit our partner primary care organizations. They capped off their time together by volunteering at Food for All DC, putting our company value of service into action while helping to deliver essential nutrition to the local community.
Kicking off summer with a classic road trip, Farzad Mostashari co-founder and CEO of Aledade, is driving from Los Angeles to Memphis this week. He will connect with Aledade market leaders, speak with primary care clinicians about health care in their communities and share how value-based care can best support their practices. Pictured left to right are Ahmed E. Haque, chief performance officer, Farzad and Joshua Israel, senior medical director of quality, at their first stop.
Aledade is excited to announce the opening of our new headquarters in Bethesda, MD! Designed to foster connection and collaboration at team retreats and meetings among our largely remote workforce, this space embodies our mission and values. Featuring unique elements like the photos from our partner practices and the Values in Action wall, our HQ is more than an office—it's a hub for innovation and community. We can’t wait for Aledaders to experience the welcoming atmosphere, and Do More Good!
Colleagues who relay together, stay together! Twelve Aledaders recently completed the SoCal Ragnar Relay, a 12-person race where a slap bracelet is passed from runner to runner, moving constantly day and night. The course stretched more than 200 miles from San Diego to Huntington Beach, spanning ocean views, winding trails and steep neighborhood streets. This wasn’t just any race - it was a test of endurance, trust, community and a true expression of our Aledade values. Senior Product Analyst Guinevere Oliver said, “It was really impressive and heartwarming to see how everyone brought the spirit of service to the race.” Congrats to the team!
On April 9, Arkansas made a historic move to strengthen primary care by passing Senate Bill 264 — establishing a working group to define, measure and report primary care spending to set future investment targets. This will pave the way for primary care clinicians to provide more comprehensive, high-quality care to Arkansans. The Aledade Policy Institute worked alongside the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians, independent primary care practices and many other stakeholders to take this crucial step toward sustainable primary care.
Aledade is committed to supporting the growth and development of accountable care in Texas, as shown by our participation in the Texas Association of Accountable Care Organizations (TXAACOs) inaugural conference this week in San Antonio. Aledaders Travis Broome, Andrew Chang, and Crystal Ecton spoke at the event, aligning with our mission of advancing value-based care and fostering collaboration among health care leaders and innovators.
Our Growth team recently recognized several Aledaders for their performance and leadership, celebrating with sight-seeing in Washington, D.C. and a visit to our nearly-completed HQ in Bethesda. We look forward to carrying this momentum forward as we continue to innovate and deliver exceptional service to our primary care partners, empowering them to thrive in value-based care!
This week, NEJM Catalyst published an article co-written by Aledade CEO Farzad Mostashari and esteemed business author Geoffrey Moore, which argues that to significantly expand value-based care within Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services should apply lessons from Mr. Moore's book "Crossing the Chasm." This could mean taking a strategic approach similar to the one that successfully transitioned hospitals from paper to electronic health records more than a decade ago.
