Breaking through language barriers. 💬🗺️ Nick, a front-line engineer for the Mandarin-language support team, recently won a Just Do It Award for his innovative project AWS Case Translation Tool. "Winning the Just Do It Award meant that I have the ability to make a positive impact on the world. Knowing that gives me the confidence to do bigger things," Nick said. The Just Do It Award is celebrates innovation and bias for action when solving problems for our customers. The Case Translation Tool helps AWS support engineers communicate with Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking customers in their native languages through real-time live chats and emails.

Olga’s journey to space. 🌌🚀 With a background in economics and an unexpected path, Olga, a Senior Customer Solutions Manager at AWS Aerospace and Satellite, ventured from Wall Street to a post-MBA leadership program #HereAtAWS. Her transition to the Aerospace and Satellite business unit, driven by her passion for space, reveals endless opportunities for career growth and transitions within AWS. "I wanted to be a part of the ultimate Think Big, helping customers reimagine how they design, launch, and operate space systems, quickly turn data into useful information, and accelerate innovation, powering the space economy," Olga said. She attributes the opportunity to the connections she built through Amazon’s internal Connect program, which connects Amazonians across various businesses through informal coffee chats with fun conversation prompts.
