Team Member Spotlight: Philip Dudt, ADA Specialist, Employee Relations Operations in Phoenix, Arizona. My Banner journey began in July of 2024. I brought a wealth of experience to my current role at Banner as an ADA specialist including; 20 years in federal service as a Sr. Investigator with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, leading the entire Employee Relations function for a Fortune 500 company and after moving to Arizona serving as the Senior Director of Employee Relations and eventually the Chief Human Resources Officer for a nationwide healthcare company. When it came time to wind down my career to achieve a healthier work/life balance, I just knew that Banner, the largest employer in Arizona with a stellar reputation for how it treats its employees, would be the final landing spot during this sunset phase of my career. Working as an ADA Specialist, as part of a team that explores accommodation solutions for employees to enable them to continue to perform the essential functions of their roles is immensely fulfilling. Operating in this role also opened my eyes to the amazing extent of empathy and compassion Banner has and the lengths it will go to aid employees in need. Additionally, the top-tier talent and leadership surrounding me allow me to continue to learn, grow, and develop as a Human Resources professional.

Team Member Spotlight: Kristin Adams, RN, BSN, RN Navigator for Trauma and Emergency Surgery Services with Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. My career began in 2017 in the Outpatient Observation Unit, where I developed a comprehensive understanding of bedside nursing and learned to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. This foundational experience enabled me to transition into the role of RN Operational Support Specialist, responsible for onboarding new nurses and support staff in both the Emergency Department and Observation Unit. Currently, I serve as the RN Navigator for the Trauma and Emergency Surgery Services (TESS) team. In this role, I oversee patient care from the initial contact through to discharge, ensuring smooth coordination across multidisciplinary teams and providing ongoing support to patients and their families. My primary focus is on discharge planning and patient education, empowering individuals to effectively manage their care after leaving the hospital. I am privileged to work alongside an exceptional team of Trauma Surgeons, Residents, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and care coordinators. I also collaborate with a dedicated group of RN Navigators, who share a commitment to providing the tools and support necessary for patients to navigate an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.
