We’re pleased to share that our Commons community in Rhode Island and Perry Hall community in Maryland started composting programs this past fall! Associates and residents have been working together for the past few months to decrease the environmental impact of their food waste through participation in their respective local composting programs. Brightview's Sustainability Council continues to make progress in our pursuit of creating and operating sustainable, healthy communities for our residents, associates, and families. Nearly 25 percent of Brightview communities have already achieved or are actively pursuing LEED Certification. Brightview’s Green Building Design Standards use LEED as a guiding principle to help improve hashtag#efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and create healthier places for people to live, work, and play. Our Brightview communities recently came together for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, joining residents, associates, families, and friends in raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care and research. Across multiple communities, we wore purple, carried meaningful pinwheel flowers, and shared memories to honor loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s. From fundraising activities to the walks, each step taken and shared story highlighted our commitment to compassionate care and support for those affected. Together, we're walking toward a brighter future.
From September 30 to October 6, Brightivew Senior Living Communities proudly celebrated Active Aging Week, an initiative encouraging seniors to embrace healthy, active lifestyles. The week featured various engaging activities, including fitness classes, creative workshops, and social outings, all designed to promote residents’ physical, mental, and social well-being.
