🌍 Discover the ambitious Green Riyadh project in Egis' sustainable flagship projects book! 📖 Project #3: Transforming Riyadh into a green oasis and protecting biodiversity 🌳 Key highlights: - 3,300 parks covering 19 km² of greenery - 7.5 million trees and shrubs planted - 1.7 million m³/day of treated water reused - Eco-design performance level 4! 🌿 Part of Saudi Vision 2030 and the "Quality of Life" programme, the Green Riyadh project aims to transform Riyadh into one of the most livable cities globally. Launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz in 2019, it seeks to reduce carbon impact, lower temperatures, and promote sustainable communities. 🌱 Egis proposed an hashtag#ecodesign approach, considering environmental and social issues. We developed a management platform using a GIS database to supervise replanting projects, optimise tree species selection, and enhance biodiversity. By introducing native species like Acacia and Quercus deserticola, we combat global warming and improve the city's resilience.
