I am a drawing technician, and in 2014 I was unemployed and unable to return to my field. I applied through the local employment office and started at Etex in Quality Control. I knew nothing about the product apart from my experience in architecture. However, my skills and knowledge allowed me to grow every year and show my abilities. I believe my passion for excellence is my greatest strength. I could develop in the administrative and management area of Quality Control, where I was in charge of the new Metrology department. We set up an ambitious project to train and support our customers and to establish Cedral as a benchmark brand across our businesses. Jean-Luc Quesnot, Etex Poissy, France After months of preparing and planning, in July 2021, we organised the first training session for Cedral Select installers in France. It brought together 6 different companies and received a very positive response. This training session is intended to be a prerequisite for acceptance within the Cedral Select network. The first part addressed the advantages of joining the Cedral Select network, while the second outlined the technical approach to using our Cedral Lap and Click cladding products. This first edition was to test the training concept so that it can be rolled out nationally. Our objective is to train just over 600 companies in France by the end of 2022. From that time, it was illegal to have physical meetings with colleagues, business partners or customers. All of us experienced the COVID-19 pandemic in our own way. In my case, the challenge was to learn about a new company and new businesses, and to meet colleagues online. I was impressed that in no time, everybody at Etex got organised. Working together and bringing out the best in each other, caring for safety and well-being while progressing on the strategic road map and eventually being very profitable.
