Last Saturday, September 17, was #WorldCleanUpDay, and members of EarthBe4 took the initiative to clean up their local communities! Knowsters in the Netherlands and throughout the U.S. participated in this special event. Lael, Director of Global Sustainability, says, “My family celebrated by collecting 34 pounds of garbage in our local community of Pinellas County! It was a day well spent.” Great work, Knowsters!
It’s Hispanic Heritage Month! Today, we hear from Dario, Channel Account Manager LATAM. 🌟 Where is your family heritage from? 🇺🇾 I was born in Uruguay and moved to the United States when I was 13. My grandparents moved to Uruguay from Italy, and later my parents moved to Florida. 🌟 How do you feel supported at KnowBe4? 🇺🇾 I feel supported by being a part of a unique, global organization that respects and supports all cultures. I am very thankful for the opportunity to work in the LATAM market and support the region's local languages.
In today’s employee spotlight, we hear from Nette, Enterprise Customer Success Manager! 🌟 What do you do in your role at KnowBe4? 🧡 As an Enterprise Customer Success Manager, I collaborate with our customers by helping them foster a security culture throughout their organization. Once a security culture has been woven into their organization, their employees begin to make smarter security decisions at home and share them with their families. 🌟 How has your career progressed at KnowBe4 since utilizing resources for your professional development? 🧡 I started utilizing Career Dave, KnowBe4’s Director of Career Development, in 2018 when I started at KnowBe4. Since working with Dave, I have had three new job titles! Dave has challenged my way of thinking, my processes, and my approaches to excelling in current roles and goal setting for my future career. At times, it has been challenging to step outside of my comfort zone, but Dave has always been there for advisement along the way, and every step taken has been rewarding.

Our interns in Berlin recently spent time exploring the city by taking a limousine ride! They had a blast seeing many historic landmarks, eating delicious food, and bonding together. Deborah, Sales Intern, says, "I enjoyed the team-building event because it allowed me to get to know the whole team on a more personal level! The limo ride was amazing as I could see and learn so much about Berlin and its history in such a short time frame."
Our Knowsters in Singapore celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, with traditional mooncakes! Did you know the Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional event celebrated by many people in East and Southeast Asia? It dates back over 3,000 years, when the Emperor of China worshipped the moon for bountiful harvests on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese Lunar calendar. Giselle, People and Culture Coordinator in Singapore, says, "The Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates reunion, and in Singapore, loved ones will gather under the full moon while enjoying a variety of mooncakes with tea. It was a blast celebrating with our Knowsters!"
Several Knowsters recently attended the 2022 Florida Business of DEI in Tampa, Florida! This event was hosted by the Florida Diversity Council, a chapter of the National Diversity Council, and allowed attendees to learn best practices around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Chelly, Director of Global Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, says, “It was extremely inspiring to hear from different leaders in this space and learn how they are developing the best DEI strategy for their organization. It was great to attend with several leaders at KnowBe4. There is so much to learn in this space.”

KnowBe4’s Black Knowsters Network employee resource group recently spent a day volunteering in their local community with Daystar Life Center. Doug, Advanced Support Director and Black Knowsters Network Vice President, says, “We were honored to volunteer at Daystar Life Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida. We packaged nearly 400 ready-to-eat meals for those in need in the area. It was a great experience, and we look forward to serving our local community again.”
