When a corridor serves thousands of people every day, small challenges add up fast. Between Minneapolis and Blaine, communities along Hwy 47 and Hwy 65 are seeing changing traffic patterns, safety concerns, and new demands on how these roads function. Along the shores of Lake Mendota in City of Madison, WI, the Lakeshore Path at the University of Wisconsin-Madison serves as a key connection for students, staff, and visitors moving across campus. Improvements to this well-used corridor created a safer, more comfortable route for people walking and biking while maintaining the natural character of the lakeshore. The updated path helps support daily travel across campus and strengthens access to one of Madison’s most scenic waterfront spaces! More than 1,100 children in the City of Durango are currently without licensed childcare. The Powerhouse Science Center is stepping in to help close that gap by transforming its Carlton Family Science Education Center into Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center, expanding access to reliable, STEM-based childcare for local families. Navigating Colorado’s detailed licensing requirements while creating age-specific classrooms designed for curiosity and exploration made this effort both complex and meaningful.
