Last week, the HR team attended a Talent Acquisition Conference in Essex, CT! The event included sessions on the evolving dynamics of the healthcare labor market, emerging trends, and demographic shifts shaping our industry. We also explored LCS’s comprehensive, multi-strategy approach to Talent Acquisition—diving deep into key recruitment metrics, onboarding best practices, and strategies for long-term retention. We wrapped up the day with a scenic sunset cruise aboard the Argia, sailing along the Mystic River into the serene waters of Fisher’s Island Sound!

Avalon Health Center at StoneRidge is proud to partner with Fitch High School in supporting students as they take the first steps toward a rewarding career in healthcare! Several students recently completed their clinical rotations at Avalon as part of a unique program that prepares them to become certified nursing assistants (CNAs) by the time they graduate. The program, now in its second year, allows students to gain hands-on experience by shadowing CNAs at Avalon, applying their classroom learning in a real-world healthcare setting. To celebrate their achievements, Avalon hosted a luncheon in their honor, complete with cake and goodie bags!
We had an incredible time at the 20th Annual Mystic St. Patrick's Day Parade this past Sunday! StoneRidge was proud to have over 30 residents and staff join in the fun, representing our vibrant community. It was the perfect way to kick off the spring season and celebrate together!
StoneRidge is proud to recognize Tasha and Gertrud, two of our dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants, who were nominated by their colleagues for the prestigious LeadingAge Caring Hands Award. This honor was presented by LeadingAge Connecticut, a statewide association representing non-profit organizations dedicated to serving older adults across the state. Tasha and Gertrud were selected for their steadfast commitment, compassion, and exceptional care of older adults!
