We are proud to share that our Atlanta Division was recognized for excellence in homebuilding, leadership and community engagement, having secured the 2024 Builder of the Year award from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA). “The TM Atlanta Team is very involved in supporting the GAHBA in many ways with our time and contributions to events, supporting and promoting our industry, and providing leadership when asked to serve,” said Atlanta Division President Jaime Pou. “Not a single operations meeting goes by without some focus or update on HomeAid projects, or other giving or community involvement opportunities.”
Taylor Morrison has been named America's Most Trusted® Home Builder for *ten* consecutive years. 🎉 To assess brand trust, national independent market research firm Lifestory Research surveyed more than 66,000 home shoppers regarding their experiences with homebuilders. We earned a Net Trust Index score of 110.1, up from 109.9 last year, and our Resort Lifestyle Brand, Esplanade, earned a Trust Index Score of 103.6 in the Active Adult Builder category. "Every year that Taylor Morrison has been named America's Most Trusted® Home Builder is meaningful, but hitting double digits for the first time and setting records simultaneously makes this tenth year extra special," said our Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer.
As America’s Most Trusted® Home Builder for nine years running, discover how Dallas Construction Project Manager Donald LaFlame builds his Taylor Morrison homes with pride. “I treat every home as if I were building it for my mom,” he shared.
Trust is at the heart of what we do, which is why we're thrilled to announce our No. 12 ranking on Forbes' inaugural 'Most Trusted Companies in America' list! 🏆 Out of 2,000 companies evaluated, the top 300 were featured on the list. We're proud to share the recognition with other notable companies including NVIDIA (No. 1), S&P Global (No. 4) and Apple (No. 11). "I can't think of anything more powerful than trust," said our Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Stephanie McCarty, to Forbes.
Millennials have heard it before—"skip the lattes and buy a house!” But why not both? According to customer surveys, Millennials now make up the largest share of Taylor Morrison buyers. In a recent article from Forbes, our Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Stephanie McCarty, spoke to their homebuying desires. “While larger homes and lots are certainly high on their wish list after years of renting and cramped apartment living, what they’re really interested in is more function per foot.” Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/g7zMeR7V
Supporting young talent in homebuilding is crucial to address the significant labor shortage, as the industry needs to train and place approximately 723,000 new workers each year to meet future housing demands. To address this need, team members from our Atlanta Division visited Kennesaw State University to present the National Association of Home Builders Student Chapter with a $1,000 check to help them compete in the NAHB International Builders' Show, coming early next year to Las Vegas, NV. Thank you to the team for inspiring students to explore rewarding career paths beyond traditional 4-year degrees.
For the second year in a row, our Charlotte Division was the proud sponsor of the Run for Green race presented by Davidson Lands Conservancy. This community event provides 5k, 10k and half marathon opportunities and the proceeds support local conservation efforts. Five of our team members participated in the half marathon, and the division set up a tent to promote our Parkside Commons townhome community located in Davidson, NC. We are proud of this team for participating in the race and contributing to an important local cause. ❤️
Meet Taylor! She was rescued in one of our Jacksonville communities by Superintendent Derrick Borel. After tracking the original owner who could no longer keep her, our Construction Director, Scott Keuning, decided to give her a new home. His kids, who’d been asking to get a dog for a while, were very excited about their new family member. “I decided to name her Taylor since she was found at work. Taylor enjoys going for walks, taking naps, begging for people’s food, and snuggling on the couch,” said Scott.
Following the devastating wildfires in Hawaii, our Taylor Morrison family raised a significant amount of money for the Maui Housing Initiative Fund. The money was used to help with reconstruction, as HomeAid Hawaii has plans to develop upwards of 500 homes for the displaced residents of Lahaina and the surrounding areas. We are elated to share that a year after the unimaginable loss, Lahaina families were welcomed into the very first pod of homes called Ka La’i Ola, which means the place of peaceful recovery, and is Maui’s largest interim housing development for wildfire survivors. 🌺
