The nCino Japan team recently demonstrated their commitment to giving back by participating in "Onigiri Action" at the Financial Information Technology (FIT) conference. This initiative is simple yet impactful—our team and booth visitors enjoyed rice balls (Onigiri), shared photos on social media, and each post resulted in five meals donated to children in need in developing countries. We love seeing our employees come together to support a great cause!

Being headquartered in Wilmington, we’re no stranger to the catastrophic damage that hurricanes can cause. As we began to hear the news of Hurricane Helene’s impact on our neighbors in Western North Carolina, nCino immediately began looking for ways to help. Of course, our employees were one step ahead of us – many nCinoites already had begun to independently fundraise, collect donations at the office, and spread awareness about volunteering opportunities and other ways to support. As a global company, and with many of our customers and employees in the path of Helene, being able to support in a time of need is critical to us. One of our core values is “Do the Right Thing,” and this ‘yes’ will always be the right thing to us.
Meet Ashleigh Breaden, a Master Product Manager at nCino’s office in Sydney, Australia. After 15 years of working in the banking industry, she joined nCino with the desire to make a difference and share her knowledge. For anyone looking to join nCino, Ashleigh’s advice is to get familiar with credit and lending practices and try your hand at configuration. Being familiar with our product and understanding our customer's business needs will give you a good grounding, so she recommends asking yourself every day: “How will this improve the life of my customer?” Some fun facts about Ashleigh: ✅ She works on both our Commercial and Home Lending Products and ensures our products are meeting regional needs. 🩵 She’s very close with her team and appreciates their compassion and diversity. 🤝 She fosters close and collaborative relationships with our customers to support them and their business goals. 🏖️ When she's not at nCino, Ashleigh's either having fun with her kids or on the beach as a volunteer Surf Lifesaver in Sydney.
Meet Justin Parr, Principal Legal Operations Management Specialist at our Wilmington Headquarters! His journey began while studying at UNCW and selling surfboards, when he realized, “If I can sell a surfboard, I can definitely sell software.” The following year he joined nCino as a Support Engineer and has been with us for almost 7 years now. In his current role, he works to make nCino’s legal processes more efficient and transparent. Here are Justin’s favorite things about nCino: 🚀 The ability to move around: Justin’s worked a variety of roles in his time here, as he likes to find areas of interest and tackle them head-on. This flexibility keeps him engaged and helps him advance in his career. 🏄♂️ The chance to have fun: When not at his desk, Justin can be found tossing nerf darts or playing ping pong with his team. He also leads sunrise beach sweeps and paddle boarding every week, open to all nCino employees. 🏆 The talent of his team: Since the Legal team is a smaller department, all the members become very close with each other. Justin feels connected to every individual on the team and it helps him to understand how to work together for mutual success. Outside of work, Justin embraces a very active lifestyle: “My favorite hobbies include surfing, free diving, spearfishing, pickle balling, taking bike rides with my wife, and crab hunting with my dog, Wink,” he said. “I let Mother Nature decide what hobby I do on a given day.”
Our annual Hackathon unites nCino employees for a week of collaborative, creative problem-solving, tackling real customer challenges and enhancing our own operational efficiency by developing innovative solutions. This year, we saw an incredible variety of ideas, skills and presentations from over 50 teams. We're proud of all of our innovators for their hard work and creativity, a true embodiment of our nCino culture! 👏🏆
One of nCino employees’ favorite ways to give back is through our annual Extra Life fundraiser, which supports the needs of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, our headquarters hosted a weekend-long gaming tournament, with games such as ping pong, poker, Mario Kart and trivia, all to benefit the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital in Greenville, NC. Since 2017, the nCino team has raised over $70,000 for this cause, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger game day next year! Meet Catalina Garcia, the Lead Marketing Manager in our Sydney office. 🇦🇺 After 15 years in the automotive industry, Catalina’s desire to explore technology and finance brought her to nCino. She oversees our marketing activities in Australia and New Zealand and enjoys working with her colleagues around the world on nCino’s global marketing strategy. The most fulfilling part of her role is seeing the contributions that marketing makes to overall brand awareness and demand. Catalina is proud of her team’s passion for their jobs and ability to collaborate—everyone is ready to lend a helping hand and share their knowledge.
