Pluspunten

Good company for job title growth. They simply just give anyone job title promotions to try and keep good talent but no actual pay increases.

Minpunten

-Horrible pay. Not competitive at all. -No leadership. Not one leader that inspires and leads by example -No growth. All of the job vacancies talk about growth. Foleon was 120 employees when I joined in 2019 and is at 120 employees now in 2022. -These other reviews are planted. I was in the meeting where the VP's wanted to plant good reviews. -Terrible decision making process. The CEO makes every decision financially. Even if its for a notebook for 5 euros. This creates a bottleneck of sometimes taking months to get anything approved. No one has freedom to make decisions, it all has to be run past the CEO and this mysterious VC backed investment firm. -Alcoholic culture. -A couple instances of sexual harassment happened in past couple years. -On all vacancies it says, hyper growth, breaking revenue records etc. They rarely hit their targets and that is so unethical to try and recruit based on lies. The US team gets 20% of their target month after month and the EMEA team gets around 50-70% of target. We closed more business years ago than we do today. And employee growth? They recycle employees often, firing whole departments and then hiring 20 new people. And not investing or training them properly. -Every employee leaves with such a bitter taste in their mouth. They never have any good reasoning for firing people and do it in such an immature way. Lawyers get involved in most cases. This goes to show the type of way they end relationships with their employees. -Marketing and Sales haven't been on the same page ever. Sales gets no freedom to make decisions but gets all the blame when it doesn't work. -No diversity in the company people wise -The company is not making a profit or any money whatsoever. In fact their customers cancel their contracts soon after signing. -Product doesn't release anything. No new features were added during my 3 years. -No undo button. It's a content creation platform without an undo button... -When I was leaving, they decided to not pay my achieved bonus. When I said that is illegal they informed me (their lawyer) that none of their bonus contracts are legally binding. I then checked and on my bonus contract, there was indeed no signature on their end. Last but not least, the company has a high rate of burnout.

Flexible hours, Drinks in the office once in a while

Minpunten

Management is way far from reality, they try to change everything and always talk about the future, never about the present. They don't listen to your opinion unless you agree with everything they do. Most loyal people from Development who stayed in the company for years are leaving now. And having burnout becomes normal in Development and Customer Support teams. A lot of lies during company meetings, including financial information simply because HR says and promises things that haven't been thought through. For example, saying that lunch is going to be served in the office, or that company is going to donate money to charity, etc. QA Lead doesn't have QA experience or knowledge (her first QA job). Salaries are from low to average. Outsourced dev teams have control over the Development department.

- International team full of the nicest people - No micromanagement - Possible to change your responsibilities/roles inside of the company - Regular and scheduled learning days, that you can spend on improving your working skills - Working by scrum - No problems with approving holidays/days off or long holidays - Nice big office with a big cozy kitchen that always has tasty coffee, tea, and fresh fruits - Nice team events

Minpunten

The company is still in the process of scaling up and it's growing very fast. Management has to figure out and implement a new suitable teams structure, working processes, etc. Which is never easy, never works perfectly from the first try, and includes many risks. Because of that: - Expectations regarding your role and responsibilities are often not clear - No stability. Your team and your responsibilities can change at any time, it depends on too many things. The project that you worked on for weeks might be not valid/needed anymore in a very short period of time. - You always need to prove yourself to other people who are new to the company. You can put your blood, sweat, and tears into your work, and have perfect performance, but get a minimal (lower than inflation) yearly salary raise, because a new manager doesn't know you well yet. (My direct manager changed 2 times in less than 1 year) - Working here is hell if you are not self-motivated, not self-organized, and not proactive.
