Being employed at Accenture is kind of similar to being self-employed. You go from project to project and fight your way trough that. This is actually also a CON for some people and it has much to do with other CONs which can be told about Accenture. You have to care about your self and you shouldn’t rely on others that they will come to ask you how you are doing. If there is something wrong you have all the power and procedures to fix it. But it’s up to you. I experienced lot of trouble at Accenture, but I was able to fix almost all of them just by utilizing standard ACN procedures or asking the right people the right questions. Same as being self-employed, you got a relatively high time flexibility and you are free to refuse projects or jobs you don’t like. You just have to have better reasoning than your boss. If you don’t, than you are a looser. If you know this, than it is a great company to work for as you are free to think, handle and perform. There is lot of great people, positive, ready to help you. If you know how to sell the results of your job to the client and the management, you also get great recognition and feedbacks. If you just sit there waiting for somebody noticing you working hard, bad luck.
