Pluspunten
There is never a dull moment, and few things are easy. The things that are easy have all been automated, so you will face meaningful challenges that stress your creativity, flexibility, technical skills, and patience. In 7 months, I have learned more than I did in multiple years at past jobs. A lot of people probably come to glassdoor looking for confirmation or denial of Amazon's hard-working, cutthroat reputation. I haven't seen it in my experience with the company. My team works very normal hours, and we are able to accomplish our goals in that time, without cutting corners. I have also been given chances to learn new things and experiment, without any fear of punishment for failing. Everyone here seems to be bought into the long-term vision for Amazon, and not just worrying about getting their promotion next cycle. I think this mindset creates an atmosphere of camaraderie and support.
Minpunten
The only cons that come to light are when you juxtapose Amazon with other top-level tech companies. There is relatively low PTO, and no office perks like free lunch. I feel spoiled even mentioning these as cons, but it's the world we live in.
