The Dev-Ops model means that you'll carry a pager (typically on rotation with other team members) and get paged in to deal with any operational issues. In practice, the impact of this varies by team, but on some teams, you can expect to be paged multiple times a day, including overnight. Amazon is a very frugal company. This can also mean 'cheap'.
