Customer interaction felt incredibly personal - I really felt that I could advise each customer like a friend or family member would, while still selling a luxury product.

Coach has gotten really huge in popularity in the last few years, so when we would have "exclusive" invitation-only sales, other customers would want to receive similar discounts, and as a part-time employee I did not feel I had the discretion to dole out these discounts.
