Variety of business experience exposure across various industries in finance, media, industrial, energy, medical, and transportation. Good benefits on par with large companies (401K, Health, Educational Reimbursement, etc.) and includes a pension.

Tremendously political organization and substantial complexity...there is more rewards and focus on flooking good in style than on actual results. Struggles to really innovate and be nimble despite the depth of talent and financial resources. GE tends to take long term employees for granted in many ways, so beware that although it is a great place to start, it may not be such a great place to finish or stick around. Large amount of acquisitions in past several years has diluted the previous high performance GE culture substantially.
