Toxic workplace, many of the managers have been at GSK their whole career and pretend that the work environment is good. Workplace issues are not taken seriously when raised to the manager or the leadership team. Problems in unprofessionalism are brushed under the rug and if you're the junior person raising an issue you'll be the one on the back foot. Blatant sexism, more visibility and better opportunities are given to male colleagues. Progression conversations are shut down if you're a woman, but not if you're a man. Credit not given for work. The discrimination is very subtle and leaves you questioning your own ability - a horrible place especially for young driven female scientists. Line managers protect themselves and don't raise issues to HR or department heads! People leave without having an alternate job secured! Avoid GSK R&D at all costs!
