Pluspunten
The benefits are quite good: 9 Day fortnight, Pension scheme and general fringe benefits People: Some really clever and hard working individuals, 'pockets' of excellent engineers holding the projects together. There are opportunities if you are willing to work hard and perform well. Products: Very interesting work, particularly in the special projects area of the business
Minpunten
There is a strong blame culture. Lots of finger pointing and political infighting. Functions/Projects always trying to 'get one over' on one another. Very fragmented approach to executing projects, with scant regard for coordinated team working. Employees actively encouraged to 'be the hero' and swim their way through the heavily beaurocratic processes. Certain departments are woefully inept at their jobs. People have been put into key roles for convenience, often with little to no regard for actual competency or experience. The Quality department is heavily staffed of ex army types, with no idea of what they are doing. Lots of people actively seeking to work against the objectives of the business. The on site auditor relishes in handing out pink slips like confetti, safety team seems to be paid for each time they can stop work in the factories.
