Minpunten
-Improperly skilled, confused and, worst, biased Middle Management. Everything goes according to managers liking. This creates a toxic environment where competent & skilled employees who are not equally good brown-nosers aren’t given the merit they deserve simply because favoritism wins. -Career development opportunities are minimal. Internal movements are totally political, the day a new job is posted (especially those non requiring specific technical skills), they already know who is going to be hired. All hiring arrangements happen before the vacancy is announced. -Cloud sales units are struggling (lack of ability to translate the company cloud into tangible business results, mainly due to the operations being off-shored which creates some sort of disconnection with the customers). -Invisible HR. -Organization transformation into being a cloud service provider is going on so the company seem to be experimenting new business models where most people feel uncomfortable & at stake. And they are. Teams happen to disband very often. So, it doesn’t seem to provide a safe & stable environment to establish a long term career plan as multinationals of the same size do. -Very poor on-boarding experience, especially for people relocating from outside Ireland, no proper orientation around what to expect, where to go, how to understand the payroll and country tax scheme. On-boarding is purely focused on skills ramp up (which is not enough if you know you're bringing in expats). -The cultural transformation being led by Satya hasn’t found a place yet in the day-to-day business, the company is still very fragmented in the way business is done & objectives are sought after & when you're there for a while you sense a gap between his view of the company & the reality of things. So, much vision but no ability to execute.
