Pluspunten

Extremely rewarding work, you learn so much about caring for individuals with different needs. Many members of staff are incredibly supportive and kind.

Minpunten

Initial training is lacking and there are a lot of uncertainties leading to a lack of using intuition and asking management to OK things. Often little gratitude for hard work or support when unwell. Some staff focus on paperwork over patients and micromanage HCA'S to do all the ground work.

Great sense of purpose and meaning in the work. Colleagues are genuinely dedicated and supportive. Good variety of tasks day to day, and you gain a wide range of clinical and interpersonal skills quickly. Job security is a major plus.

Minpunten

Staffing levels are often stretched thin, which puts pressure on everyone. Pay hasn't kept pace with the demands of the role. Management can feel disconnected from frontline realities, and communication from the top down is inconsistent.
