Lots of pressure to make sales despite clients not needing or wanting products, and despite products being potentially detrimental to clients' financial well-being. Failure to consistently meet sales goals is met with the threat of dismissal. Management is not open to the concerns of lower level staff because the pressure is top-down and only profit matters. Little opportunity for growth as there is high competition for limited number of positions. Generally a miserable work environment where workers feel overworked, underpaid, disrespected and unappreciated.
