Had a call with the recruiter before having a phone screening. Recruiter gave me details about how the phone screen would be. They asked me to focus on the skills in my resume, projects, amazon leadership principles, and told me there would be a 20 minute coding part (out of the one hour interview). The phone screen started off with some description of projects in my resume. I followed the STAR format, but there was not much feedback from the interviewer if they understood my answer or not. Then they asked me some random ML knowledge questions (none of which I had mentioned on my resume but google-able questions, mentioned below). Finally they gave me a coding exercise and said I had to finish it in 5 minutes (!). 5 minutes is a bit ridiculous for a coding exercise even if you have seen it before. I asked them some questions to clarify some boundary conditions, but they didn't stop the clock for my questions. The 5 minutes were over around the time I came up with a solution idea and had written no code. The interviewer moved on to questions for him, and the interview was over in 45 minutes. I felt it was very disorganized, not enough feedback from the interviewer, and the interview content was very different from what was communicated by the recruiter.

The interview takes 1 month, 1st round on 60-min technical screening, 2nd round with 5 team members, hiring manager/skip with each of 60minutes to discuss all aspects of your experience, skills, coding etc.
