- Oracle was accused of salary inequities between men and women and as a result paid $25M in Feb 2024 to female plaintiffs in CA - that fact is damning by itself - payment indicates some kind of guilt. Google to confirm this recently settled lawsuit. - Regardless of the $25M recently paid by Oracle to settle this lawsuit, the boys club is still thriving and enabled by HR and management at Oracle For the men considering applying that may think they are safe: - Oracle has had no pay increases for multiple years - Oracle regularly skips bonus payouts - Oracle has had several rounds of layoffs (firings) over the last 2 year period and they actually use these “layoffs” to target people they cannot silence - Oracle has horrible project management, particularly in the NA portfolio, and they continue to lose opportunities for Tier 1 clients, which is causing many of the firings/layoffs. Only one Tier 1 client remains in the NA portfolio, and there is no contract with that client as of now. A large number of RIFs (firings) are coming very soon. Buckle up everyone! - Oracle lowballs salaries - Oracle rewards managers for telling lies and there is no justice whatsoever for anyone who is targeted - male or female - Oracle has no issue working people 16 hours a day and then telling you that you need improvement. Know your worth and get out of that toxic environment if you experience unjustified treatment. I was warned that Oracle was a horrible company to work for by a former employee. I did not listen. People tend to discount stories of bad behavior in management and think those types of things only happen to bad employees. I was a good, loyal employee who worked a ridiculous amount of hours for years, believing hard work and dedication would be rewarded. I didn’t realize until it was too late that as a woman, I was already a target and at a disadvantage. I was subjected to improper treatment by a man that had the full support of a Senior Director of Oracle, which was confirmed to HR by multiple witnesses. There was also written documentation backing up my claims in addition to the multiple witnesses’ accounts. The boys club was even confirmed by my male colleagues who were not onboard with what they saw!! Regardless, HR found my concerns to be not “substantiated”. I was momentarily shocked until I remembered Oracle’s CA lawsuit confirming their guilt that affected 4K women. I am one insignificant victim, but I will never be silent. Realizing that this is a repeating pattern (also supported by multiple witnesses’ testimony) and that Oracle has no moral compass, my advice is to avoid this company. You cannot fight and win at Oracle because HR is enabling the behavior by hiding the evidence. If you are already employed at Oracle, female and becoming a target, hire an attorney and take the route of the CA plaintiffs, who did get $25M. It took seven years for the plaintiffs to get that settlement and that $25M judgment was a pittance for the crimes Oracle committed against those 4K women. Sad to say, they are still committing crimes today against women and living their best lives on the backs of those women beaten down. Class action lawsuits are based on verifiable evidence. Keep your best documentation hidden ladies and never provide any valuable data to HR. Just play their pretend games while seeking outside counsel. Remember your worth and take back your life. Oracle is one bad apple, but your life will go on and improve after you leave.

Pluspunten

Every group/division can be different in how they treat their employees, but I'd say overall there is very good atmosphere of trust and fairness. There is a strong focus on education, and they reimburse for outside classes taken (Up to 5k/year I think). Benefits are good, and I'd say quite competitive in the market. Good 401K matching (they'll contribute a max of 3% of your 6% or greater). Free drinks in the breakroom. Flexibility to work from home at times. (If you live 50+ miles away from an office you can work full-time from home...policy).

Minpunten

They don't try to make the workplace anything special (maybe a pool table and arcade game are cliche or gimmicky?). In the 10 years I've worked there, they've given 2 measly %1 cost of living raises (this is the same with most everyone I've spoken to, some don't get any raises). You will not get a substantial raise ever, unless you leave then get rehired on (they will not match offers, better to leave). New employees that you train will make 10 - 20K more than you several years after you hire on (not just me, they do this to all tenured employees). They will give these untrained, less experienced people higher titles (again this is done to everyone not just me). You learn pretty quickly that you're dispensable. The company has billions in cash and they don't re-invest in their employees, just in acquiring new companies and hiring new people that know nothing that you get to train.
